CELEBRATION: Sw's belated birthday celebration @ La Risata, Ampang.

A bday post of my bestie before I fly in a bit. She's the youngest in our gang and her actual bday was at 28th Oct, IKnowRight, it was 2 months late bday celebration for her due to.....our exams, our holidays, our schedules, so finally we managed to gather together and celebrate yesterday! We got the idea of having Italian cuisine, so came up the plan to try La Risata, Ampang.

We had our seats outdoor cause indoor full house already, sad case, should have make reservation before we came, probably because xmas is coming soon and the people celebrate early xmas. So I'd suggest everyone make a reservation first.

Here's our foods:

Bread with olive oil for appetizer for freeee

Bloody Mary (RM22), Cosmo Cooler (RM24), Martinis (RM26)
*bloody mary was bloody disgusting, I personally advise do not order bloody mary because you'll  be bloody disgusted*

Pizza Carbonara (RM28)
*OMG this is fcking awesome like I can die for the pizza, must order their pizzaaa*

Rissoto Nero Di Seppia (RM36)
*obviously what you see the black rice is squid ink with baby octopus & cuttlefish, I can say the baby octopus is dope*

Antipasti Misti (RM 42) - good for 2-4
*yummy antipasti with grilled mushroom, calamari rings, gralic crostini with chicken liver & beef carpaccio, everything was nice*

Capellini Nero Fruitti Mar (RM35)
*another squid ink sauce spaghetti with prawn, cherry tomatoes & squid, this is another must order*

These were our main course, after that...girls being girls time, chit chat time, photo sessions altho I didn't manage to capture quite alot of photos.

 Py, Wy, Sw

Char, and Winne.

And here's the belated bday cake, with the super belated wishes lolololol

Torta Di Parmigiano (RM12)
*sweet & sour cheesecake*

Zucotto (RM18)
*personally like this the most, liqueur dome cake filled with chocolate & vanilla cream*

Group photo with the christmas atmosphere

Here the end of our fancy italian cuisine bday celebration for sw altho it was late but we paid our hearts to wish you the best in your life :)
Surprisingly we dont feel quite full, not sure the portion too small for 5 or we were too hungry.

Happy Belated Birthday, Ai Ren! xoxo

FOOD: Gangnam 88, Sunway Giza & Dip n Dip, The Curve

Hello there! I'm here to talk about foods again, haha, told my dayrer (dayre follower) I wouldn't blog about this, but boredom strikes and here am I. People who play dayre do follow me, winnieyonly.

Gangnam 88, Sunway Giza
I guess a lot of people heard that Gangnam 88 located at Solaris Mont Kiara, and there's another branch at Sunway Giza. I actually planned to go since long time ago after my STPM exam but I have to work. Finally I have some free time to spend with my baby boy after 3 weeks of work!

How coincidentally, when I decided to go Gangnam 88 on last Saturday then I saw promotion voucher on Groupon so I purchased one.

Meal for two:
Stir fried spicy pork + kimchi soup OR bibimbap + refillable side dishes
*steamed egg & red bean ice as free gifts*

And now only at rm35 for this whole meal! (Ori price: rm58++) totally worth it.

So satisfied with this whole lunch, espcially the fried spicy pork, daebak!

The restaurant surrounded with a lot of kpop artists stickers and I kinda love the atmosphere with kpop music, furthermore, the view outside from gangnam 88 is just way too nice, I bet it will be nicer at night with christmas decorations!

Make your calendar down, every 2nd and 4th Monday will be closed.

Dip n Dip, The Curve
After that, we went to The Curve to have a walk, so I have googled dip n dip has it second branch at The Curve now. Its been a while I didnt eat already, therefore I made my move to dip n dip. This time I ordered dip crispies & he ordered chocolate waffle with ice cream.

Dip Crispies, rm12.50

Chcolate waffle rm17 (add icecream rm3)

I thought maybe the curve will be lesser people than bangsar, but nope, both are still crowded with people.
P.S: still prefer salon du chocolat more than dip n dip

Baby boy & me

OOTD: top from dees, skater skirt from online, shoes from h&m, handbag from charles & keith.

THOUGHT: STPM flash back

It's another month I have abandoned my blog and leave it like nothing, I have lost my blogging mood and not sure what to blog about. My graduation? My holidays? My STPM life? Till I viewed some bloggers' blog post inspired me to blog again. Should I just blog my STPM life?

Can say that I really didn't know what I have learned in this 1.5 years, I mean like STPM system changed to modular which we have 3 semesters and each semester for half year. Basically we can resit our papers if we feel that our results not so good in each semester, rm50 per subject, kinda cheap huh? Nice to hear when knowing you can resit even with bad results but nope. I bet you will just trouble yourself more, because resit papers happen right after sem 3 exam, then sem 1 then sem 2, which mean actually do not have much time to study all sem 1, 2 & 3 exam unless you know how to manage your time very well.

Just skip that part, I didn't resit any papers even thou my result wasn't that good, yea, "not that good". So I ended my exam much earlier than those who resit, and I enjoyed my holidays much earlier than those people. I rotted myself when weekday then part time job on weekend and everyday I am doing the same shit routine, wake up > breakfast > computer > tv > sleep > tv > sleep. What a life.

I shall just talk about form 6 life. Lets see what interesting stories I can share with you guys in my form 6 life, hmmm...

Oh, sort of interesting stories for me because I was chosen to be an assistant monitor! Just.. you know sometimes I do quite envy people who be monitor. They can sneak out with excuses "help teacher do smth, help teacher blabla", I have this thought when I was form 1 till form 5, in order to escape some annoying teachers' classes. I thought it was fun to be a monitor in form 6, but not, I wish I had more time to stay and focus in class. Also another reason I want to be monitor because I need koko marks to survive into local U.

Then, I met so many monsters among my classmates, not to mention who, lets bygone be bygone :p still thanks to those freaks who made my form 6 life quite fun and interesting also. Let me and my gfs have more topics to talk of, gossip always come to our minds during school time. Like no gossip no life, haha, and there's always a hot topic to talk, till now.

One of the best memories I had was we sang farewell song on the stage to my former MUET teacher - Ms Joice and thousand of audiences in the hall. Before I get to know her more, I heard people called her "big mama", indeed she was, with huge body size and big eyes, most of all, she was black. Thought she was a fun teacher at first, after a long period of class, she was a bored teacher, non stop telling us her stories and just any stories which kind of bored. She retired this year so my classmates & I made a decision, the entire class sang "you raise me up" (pretty funny that every years when teacher retires, students sing you raise me up only) and I made her a basket of fruits that looked kinda ugly.

And there's something brought me anger. One day, a bunch of students came to my class and asked me to hold their phones because they had their MUET speaking test. So I was being kind and helped them to keep. That day, I was having my super fierce yet good teacher class, my new MUET teacher. When halfway of our class, suddenly the phone rang, the teacher gone really pissed off and me & my classmates all get scolded by her, so I became the scapegoat until now I still haven't get my clean reputation back. You know what I hate the most, I was claimed the one who brought phone to school without switch off into silent mode and yet a bunch of idiots asked the X  not to apologize and no need to tell the truth to the teacher .

*I am not bearing a grudge against those incidents, I just hate being misunderstood*

Just can't think of any other anymore, but still thanks to everyone who brought me memories although I wasn't familiar with some of you or had some conflicts with you before.

FOOD: Kissaten, Jaya One.

I purchased a voucher from groupon; Japanese HighTea set at Kissaten,Jaya One for only rm38 (ori price rm58++). So I went with my bf yesterday due to the expiry date until 6th of Nov only. I'm not satisfied with this whole high tea because the foods are so called so-so only, but rm38 for a japanese high tea still quite worth it la.

Japanese High Tea Set.

I requested my bf to make a reservation at 5pm so that I can skip my dinner by eating this. And yes, we used almost 1 & half hour to finish all these, but probably because we ate too much before we had high tea :/

The Menu.

The sweet desserts on the upper part while the salty on the bottom part.

Upper part: Eggmushi // Coffee Panna Cotta // Green Tea Parfait // Poppy Passion Jelly // Rosella Jelly // Green Tea Butter Cupcake // Japanese Cheese Cake.

and here's the bottom part: Pork Belly Bruchetta // Tsukune Meat Balls With Teriyaki Sauce // Smoked Duck With Melon // Salmon Sushi Sandwich // Tamago Sushi Sandwich // Tuna Tart
*the salmon sushi & tamago sushi both with bread instead of rice.

The pork belly bruchetta was surprisingly nice, I hate pork belly, but maybe because they cut it into slices so I barely know that was pork belly. I like the tuna tart, meatballs, jelly & eggmushi only, others uh-uh.

And with 2 cups of drink (coffee, english breakfast tea, royal milk tea, matcha latte). I ordered matcha latte while my bf ordered coffee. Both of it made us real disappointed and ended up ordered warm water.

Lastly, me & my bf.

FOOD: KGB burger & Coffea Coffee, Bangsar

Food post again. My life would suck without foods. And this time, I'm going to share about KGB burger & coffea coffee.

KGB (killer gourmet burgers) at Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar.

Click the photo to enlarge.

The price is quite reasonable, most of the burgers less than rm16 (burger) if set (drink + fries) add on rm5.50 which is cheaper than burgerlab. I read some reviews saying that the bash & kimchi fries w/ bulgogi beef  is the best and highly recommended. But I didn't order any beef burger because my bf cannot eat so we ordered 1 chicken burger to share. *bf said that big hug burger is superb,so i'll try someday*

Bella Bomb Tower (chicken) rm21.90 - grilled chicken, 2 x portobello w/ triple stuffed cheese, shack sauce

Bahhh, this is fking expensive burger, with set rm27.40. RM30 for only a burger? I can say this worth it, at least this burger can fits two hungry stomachs (well the fact is I was the only one who hungry -.- since my bf just had his brunch). BTW yes, this is big enough. As you can see the pic above, the drink is old fashioned type and fries with 4 choices (salt and pepper, herbed, spicy cajun, malt vinegar)

I wondered what is portobello until I bit on it, I realized it was a big black mushroom. When the waiter sent the burger to our place, I was like, woaw, this is freaking big round mushroom.

That's it! what's even more great, when I bit more, the cheese split out more. The grilled chicken is perfectly nice.  A good news for everyone, no service & gov tax charged in KGB.

This pic clearly shows everyone the size of the burger.

Next, we went to Coffea Coffee, which is also at Jalan Telawi 2.

I'm not a coffee lover but my bf is. He must drink coffee everyday to make himself awake 0.0 but I love the design and atmosphere in coffea coffee. A comfortable coffee shop is the best place to chill (better than always starbucks // coffee beans only). Unfortunately, coffea coffee has limited seats and always packed with people.

My second times visited to coffea coffee, and I decided to try their tiramisu (rm10) this time. As for my bf, he ordered caramel macchiato (rm13).

Tiramisu is dope! Like those comments I saw, tasted nice, fulled with coffee smell. Coffea coffee located in Bangsar, Subang, Sunway Pyramid & The Curve only.

Next, went to The Gardens to buy my mom a belated bday cake. Actually planned to buy bisou red velvet cupcakes for mom, but needa do something in Midvalley. So I bought a red velvet cake (rm12.90) from Pastis, The Gardens.

The cake is kinda small as I expected because of the price :X and tasted more to salty. My mom non stop commenting this cake, and I feel so bad to buy her a bad cake :(

Last but not least, OOTD:
Top from Pull & Bear; High waist pants from Romp; Bag from Charles & Keith.

FOOD: PJ walk

A short food post again; PJ walk. I bought nadeje voucher from groupon. So I planned to have a S&S (short & sweet) meet up with my gfs before py starts her degree at Kampar UTAR.

TA-DA! My selfie of the day, photo taken by my magic lens (wide lens + fish eye)

First Destination: Nadeje, 3 two square, PJ.
I have tried once in Melaka. Nadeje has 3 shops in Melaka, they expanded their shop now in PJ, the only shop in PJ/KL. This is my first time to try nadeje in PJ tho, and I personally feel that the cake is much different from what I have eaten in Melaka. I mean like....not so nice.

We ordered chocolate banana, original, green tea & mango yogurt. And the best for me was green tea. Others......not so nice. Besides, we ordered one pot of tea & a cold drink. I wasn't satisfied with these cakes probably because the cakes came all the way long from melaka to PJ.

Next destination: My BurgerLab, Seapark, PJ.
Burgerlab is just few kilometers from 3 two square, so we made our move to Burgerlab. My first try of burgerlab also. The queue is really long but luckily we reached at 5.40pm and have to wait for 20-30mins only which is....quite...short, I guess? 0.0

My only impression for burgerlab: hot & packed. I really wondered what so nice to attract people to queue up before the shop opens and the queue is getting longer and longer. And I ordered beautiful mess. There's so many options and I didn't know what to choose. All I saw the people held was the same burger, black burger (charcoal burger), so hard to choose a burger, to choose which one is the best.

Beautiful Mess, rm25 included drink & chips

Headed to Char's house after our dinner. We picked the wrong time to back, peanut butter strawberry jam jam jam everywhere :X

I just want to let you all see how long magic lens can capture, so I don't have to worry cannot fit all people in a photo now :P

TRIP: Pulau Kukup

Basically I will only talk about what I had done in Pulau Kukup because the whole trip wasn't really excited but fun. And Pulau Kukup is only a fishing village that located in Pontian, Johor. People who stressed out and need some air to relax, I think, have a short visit to Pulau Kukup with friends isn't that bad.

I went to Pulau Kukup with my family and my girlfriends. I can actually imagine that if I was with my family ONLY, for sure will be really really bored because nothing much can be done with family as they are not so crazy to do anything right? and fortunately I got my chance to ask my gfs to accompany me along in this trip, so much grateful!

FYI, Pulau Kukup isn't a place to take jetty from a place to another pulau, it is just a normal fishing village.

This is what a fishing village looks like, no blue ocean, no nice view. Please don't misunderstood that Pulau Kukup is a nice pulau with blue ocean.

We lunch straight away we arrived Pulau Kukup. I doubted about their seafoods. I had almost 6 meals in a day and what made me dissatisfied was their seafood. Kan a fishing village suppose to have fresh & nice seafood? I can bet even KL seafood is better than Kukup a lot.

We went to national park // pulau bakau after our lunch

Finally checked in around 5 something, so we rest a while and waited for sunset under the hot sun. Luckily the wind cooled us down which made me feel so much relaxing, love that kind of feeling.

Earlier sing K with the nice light effect haha

Had our dinner at 8pm and we planned to celebrate mid autumn festival. I bought some candles & lanterns, and wishing lanterns that night 4 pieces for rm10 only.

* that was just my mom sitting on the bench!

We brighten the little corner with different colours of lanterns that night. Yea, we were the only who played lanterns while others non stop putting fireworks that shocked me few times.

We spent our day like this. It was short yet sweet. Nothing is better than you spend time with your loved person. I love my family & my friends and of course my bf. I am so blissful to have them in my life.

Kukup island is just a normal place to let people chill and relax with friends, nothing much could do. So probably spend 1 or 2 days at there is enough, unless you wanted to be a fisherman haha.

P.S: Have you laughed today? I'm gonna share some funny videos I did with my gf in kukup.
