THOUGHT: How To Be Positive And Happy

All based on my true stories & experiences. (i'm not a healing prof, I just want to share some tips to my readers)

I went under a very depressing state throughout June & July. How depressing? I couldn't think straight, I couldn't focus on what I want, I couldn't express my feelings.

I only work during weekends, and basically I stay at home all the time during weekdays because all my friends were busy working. I had no one to talk to, I felt lifeless, I made everything worse, I hated my family, I hated my friends, I hated my boyfriend. Then, my boyfriend was very patient to help me day by day, and I feel that i am getting better now. Here are some tips!

#TIP 1: take everything as challenge from god
It works really well on me. Whenever I have hard times, I face a lot of bad situations, and I tell myself "hey it's just a challenge from god, he wants to know how well you can handle it by your own, and show him, you can do it". I stayed calm and find solutions to solve every problem. Your life is all in your hand, it may be good and bad, but never let others control you life.

#TIP 2: stop comparing and judging
I know everyone of us compare and judge when we feel dissatisfy. E.g. "omg, she's so ugly and fat, how can she even get a bf", honestly when you start judging, it's actually you getting jealous, don't deny it so quickly, think deeply, are you? When you stop comparing and judging, I bet your life would be much easier everyday.

#TIP 3: give compliments
Yes, compliments help us to boost our mood and confidence. One thing I love about being a promoter, is because I love how sweet people compliment me. I love to have some chit chat and interact section with random aunties or uncles. They all are so sweet, they are straight. If you treat them well, they will treat you well. Some might be fake compliments, but its okay! As long as its a compliment, it helps you to look forward everyday.

#TIP 4: look at the good instead of bad
I know there are sometimes that bad things happen but it isn't permanent, there's something good that happens to us everyday too. We only magnify bad things and ignore the good, and we let ourselves feel depressed and down all the time. Then why not try to think more positively? Like whenever you had a great lunch,or when you help someone, or when you smile to random person, these all are good situations that we choose to ignore. "The stars will only glow in the dark", I hope you understand this quote, as it means to not only see the bright side of things within all the negativity, but also that they are the only things that are enlightening the path that we chose.

#TIP 5: get new friends
I love making new friends, its something special. Even tho I might have some friendship problems and I don't have any true friends. Getting a new friend is a way to let you express yourself the most. You can talk any topic randomly with them, discuss the things you struggle the most, and they will give you some ideas.

#TIP 6: never take "something/someone" too important except yourself.
There's a quote: Love yourself, before you start to love others. Indeed it is true. How can you love others when you don't even love yourself. Treat yourself the best, love yourself the most. I will make examples for this, and this is not specifically for someone. (NO OFFENCE)

e.g: hurt yourself when you hurt by your "one and only love". Hurt as in many ways, punch yourself, starve yourself, or worse, think to die to protest and to show how much you love him/her. These are the stupidest ways ever. And the only way to prove you are good with it,then face it and deal with it, live your life to the best and show them. I know it isn't easy, but hey cmon, 20 years old and you want to die because of your "one and only true love". I know how it feels, I get hurt before, but the thing I always do, is ignore first and think. If you can't, take a nap and let yourself chill. Don't make harsh decisions. You will regret it in the end. Its always better than hurting yourself. Your mom gived birth to you, and you hurt yourself because of an unworthy love story?

#TIP 7: ignore everything you don't wish to happen.
I needed a really long time to learn this. Nowadays, we all only talk thru whatsapp, no sms, no calls. And you know the thing when you whatsapp someone and that person takes forever to reply you. Yeah, you get much OUCH and curse that fucking bloody person who never reply you. WE ALL TAKE WHATSAPP AS LIFE and worse, if ask something in group and nobody gives you a fuck. I get so pissed off. I concluded whoever doesn't get any reply, that person either dont want to talk to you or too busy to reply you. and how to face this problem, ignore it. When you don't get any reply, just chill and ignore, meanwhile, you can get less troubles.

#TIP 8: BE HAPPY.
The easiest and hardest. We care because we all are human, but tell yourself, happy is better than sad. Don't post negative statuses, and nag how bad your life is. (YOU'RE THE ONE WHO CREATE YOUR OWN LIFE). You only look at the bad sides more than the good sides. If your life has no one, go and find someone. If your life is dark, go and fill with colours! Hide aside and cry, and think negatively will never bring you happiness.

I get inspired by my bf and the old man (kiki streling kak incident). The uncle chose to forgive her, and let it go.
So why frown when you can smile?

Be happy and charming, because your smile is the key to happiness.

Love,
Winnie.

FOOD: China House, Georgetown, Penang.

Hello there! I get so annoyed about what to say in the opening, you know the opening speech is the most important part to attract readers to continue reading and all, and I am so lacking in this opening speech thing. Bahh... Whatever..

Back to 3 weeks ago, bf & I planned a getaway to Penang, to hunt for some food. and today I am going to talk about China House that I have craved so badly for when I was planning this whole Penang trip.

I'm not sure if you can see the right picture cause of the reflection (try to enlarge the pic) but China House is a very very long cafe. The shop isn't big but LONG. In case you cant see it, I will explain it now. The shop is divided into 3 parts: The Canteen (lunch & dinner), Kopi C (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and BTB Restaurant (Dinner).

We had our breakfast, and the biggest advice from me, do not go for the breakfast. I mean...if you want, I can't stop you but there is only a few choices for their breakfast, fingers also can count it all.

And most of the people will only come for lunch or after. My bf & I were like "dayumm', should have come for lunch" because there is way too many choices for lunch compared to breakfast.

Nevertheless, we enjoyed our glorious breakfast. You will be surprised with the price, nevermind nevermind, keep calm and stay cool.

Nawww just joking :P

The everyday 30 cakes!

Over 30 different cakes, we chose tiramisu, because....... WE JUST FOLLOWED THE TIPS from SWARM, LOLOLOLOL

Oh wait, before I show you all the food photo, lemme post a pic of me first, TA-DAH!

Hot Chocolate RM11 - It didn't taste much like a chocolate drink for me. (I just realize the art 0.0 woaaww)

Iced Latte RM11

Banana Bread RM14 - At least it tasted like banana cake, not bad!

Big Breakfast RM32 - Holy! I don't know if this is a china-western style of a big breakfast, it clearly didnt look like the "big breakfast" we normally have in KL.
It comes with breads, eggs, chicken, lamb and some idk what sauces.

I regretted ordering this much because we still have our Tiramisu, I wish I can cancel it but hell no, the cake is what I wanted the most!

Tiramisu RM15 - It's pretty much like alexis's tiramisu but cheaper lah. It was huge, maybe you cannot see in pic, but yes it was huge.

Total bill after gov & service charges: RM96.30. IDK you guys but for me, breakfast that costs RM96? Thats hella crazyyyy man.

Then we walked around the looooonggg shop.

REVIEW: Samsung NX MINI, PT 2

Here comes the second part for my samsung mx mini! It's been 2 months I started to use this camera. Before I start my part 2 review, I would like to answer few questions! Oh if you haven't read the PT 1 review, CLICK HERE to read more.

1) Is Samsung NX Mini better or Casio ZR?
Both are selfie camere, if you want to know which one is better, it's all depends on yourself. NX Mini is more to natural kind of selfie while ZR is more to perfect skin of selfie.

2)  Does NX Mini occurs bad low light performance?
Yes, but I feel it already does a great job in low light. It just a compact camera, you can't expect a compact camera to be like a DSLR.

3) What's the differences between 9mm & 9-27mm lenses?
FYI, NX Mini comes with 2 lenses, 9mm & 9-27mm. It's your choice to get both or either one. Because of the 24mm wide angle for 9mm lens, its perfect for landscape photos and selfies while 9-27mm lens is a zoom lens along with anti-shake function. WHICH MEAN, 9mm lens cannot zoom at all. Fortunately, they are now selling nx mini with 9-27mm lens only, so that you don't have to purchase two lenses.

And there's a disadvantage I want to share with you all, you could be the next victim like me:

There's a samsung smart app to let us transfer our pics from camera to phone, yes it's pretty smart idea for all the people who like to share their pics to social media right after they capture. I was using iphone earlier when I got this camera, and I was so happy to transfer my pics straight from my camera.

1 week later, the app happened to crash whenever I transfer my pics. Then I googled was it only happened on iphone users, well, the answer is yes. There are so many iphone users complained about it. Then, I felt hopeless. I am an iphone die hard fan, I really love iphone so much. I tried it on ipad, ipad mini, the app crashed anyway.
I changed to note 2 after that, and the appcrash problem never happens again.

It only occurs on some iphones, I was the unlucky one. I didn't do a well research, and now I had to give up my iphone :( Please think twice before you get it, I just don't want any of you buy a new camera, meanwhile, change a new phone. (unless you don't mind to transfer it to computer first)

Today, I will share some pics I took with my NX Mini (9mm lens).

Auto Mode:

Samrt Mode (Beauty):

Smart Mode (Food):

I'm not a professional photographer, as long as my pictures look more clearer and nicer than using a phone to take, I am very happy already. That's why i didn't use much smart mode (there's plenty of functions to use), however, auto mode is enough for me.

"Do I regret to get this camera?" yes/no?

YES:
1) I regret that I didn't get 9-27mm lens because it can zoom along with anti-shake function, I think I will be worry less about my blur pics once I shake my hand or take pics in dark.
2) The app doesn't work in iphone.
3) The colour turns darker indoors.

NO:
1) It's super easy to carry out. I can take pics anytime!
2) Easy to transfer from camera to phone ( i know i know casio has this function also)
3) It has the built-in flash! So much convenient when I take pics!
4) I JUST LOVE THIS CAMERA!

Once again, I hope my review helps you a lot. Don't mind to comment down below if you have any question about this camera!

Have a nice day!
Love, Winnie.

CELEBRATION: Birthday & Farewell @ Serai, Empire Shopping Gallery

This post is dedicated to my beloved friend // granddaughter who will be flying later at 11.59pm to Louisiana, US. First of all, I am so sorry that I am not able to send you off and sing "all I want by Kodaline" with the chore we talked earlier (HAHA?) Anyhow, I am still here at my home wishing you to have a safe flight and all the best in US, be safe all the time. OKAY? (please reply me OKAY) after you view this and have landed safely.

We celebrated her birthday as well as her farewell in a malay fusion restaurant, seriously out of our expectations. Normally we will only pick western, korean or something else, but for sure not malay. However, I feel it was quite a great choice, at least she got to enjoy a malay styled meal before flying to US.

Fortunately we made reservation before heading there, seriously aint no joke as the line in Serai is absolutely crazy.

Left: Minted Calamansi Soda (RM10.50) - Soda with crushed mint leaves & calamansi.
Center: Serai Blended (RM10.50) - Ice blended with lychees & lemongrass extract. (worse, tasteless)
Right: Serai Iced Tea (RM12) - Lemon sorbet, lemongrass extract and a hint of fresh mint.

Nasi Kerabu (RM22) - Blue-tinted rice served with ayam percik, salted egg, ulam, solok lada & keropok ikan. (my friends loved this the most, but I hate this the most, I just really don't like it).

Beef Rendang Penne (RM23)

Thai Mango Kerabu (RM15) - with dried cuttlefish, birds eye chilli & crushed peanuts.

Tom Yum Seafood (RM8) - Choice of serai's homemade tom yum paste or clear broth. (not the best tom yum :( )

Middle Eastern Medley (RM45) - Moroccan lamb shank cooked to perfection, served with spiced rice, cucumber raite and signature Turkish relish. (I know this is super expensive, but its huge and da bomb!)

Deepfried salted egg squid (RM20)

Nasi Ambang (RM20) - white rice served with portions of prawn sambal, beef rendang tok, ikan kering, fried noodles, mixed vegetables & tempe.

Because the princess saw someone ate ABC (and all of us thought it was a cendol), so I went to order a cendol (ended up not what we saw) & red velvet (supposingly order pavlova but sold out) for her :( HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN ADVANCE.

We just wanted a group photo then the waiter insisted us to stand in front of their restaurant with their shop name to take a group photo =.=

and there goes the photobomber at the back.

Then we became their ambassadors.

*********************************************************

Last but not least, I hope you can read this when you arrive there. Those geli geli words no need to say lah, keep it in your heart, I will see you soon? May your smiles brighten up the angmos there and remember bring one back :P

Have a nice day!
Love, Winnie.
